Delwood Supply celebrates 50 years in business.

Delwood Supply Co., which has locations in Livonia and Royal Oak, is commemorating its 50th anniversary of serving plumbing professionals in Southeast Michigan with a summer-long celebration.

The company is honoring the occasion by developing personalized clothing apparel for its employees and customers. Delwood is also celebrating with “Customer Appreciation BBQ's” for all their plumbing customers.

“Our customers are like family to us; they are the reason for our success,” said Mark Fisher, president of Delwood Supply.

Founded by Joe Fisher and Ralph Long, Delwood Supply Co. began as an off-shoot of Warren Plumbing Supply in 1963. Shortly after, Walter Deanna joined Fisher.

“When we started, we did business on a handshake and good old-fashioned hard work. That hasn't changed in 50 years,” Fisher said. “I am proud to say that Delwood is still taking care of our customers the way we did 50 years ago.”

In 1974, Joe's son, Mark, joined the business, ensuring another generation of plumbing knowledge and service. To meet demand and to expand service for Delwood plumbing customers, Mark opened a second location in Livonia in 1994.
