York becomes official HVAC partner of the NHL.

Johnson Controls, the global leader in delivering solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, and the National Hockey League today announced the York brand has become the official heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) partner of the NHL in North America for the 2012-13 season.

Under the agreement, announced today in Las Vegas at the 2012 NHL Awards media availability, York not only becomes an official partner of the NHL and the official HVAC partner of the League, but also a proud supporter of NHL Green, an official partner of the NHL Draft, a proud partner of the 2013 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, a proud partner of the NHL Awards, and the official HVAC partner of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

"We look forward to working with the York brand on a number of exciting activations to build brand awareness and preference among NHL fans throughout North America," said Brian Jennings, NHL executive vice president of marketing. "As the newest supporter of NHL Green, we welcome York's expertise and assistance in our mission to attain greater energy efficient standards across the League."

In addition to the league partner designations, York has also reached agreements with a variety of individual NHL teams throughout North America. Those agreements will be announced soon.

York products from Johnson Controls include energy-efficient, residential central air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces and accessories and innovative light-commercial, packaged heating and cooling systems marketed through a national distribution network and delivered to home- and building-owners through qualified York heating and cooling dealers.
