Sid Harvey’s Creates “Super Store” in Lombard.

Guy Mendolia, Area manager for Sid Harvey’s calls it a Super Store, and he’s right. Sid Harvey’s purchased Control’D Engineering two years ago. Since then, they’ve combined the Glen Ellen store with the Lombard facility to create a hub with everything customers need. Guy, who’s been with Sid Harvey’s for nine years noted “the change –and increase in inventory has drawn far more customers to the store. There are more tech people at the counter and we’ve doubled the number of trucks available for deliveries.

Lane McCannon, Branch Manager here was with Control’D for sixteen years. He’s thrilled with the renovation and the results it brings. “The interior of the building has been virtually rebuilt. The showroom size has doubled to 2,700 square feet.” The building is fifteen thousand square feet in size. “Even the warehouse has been remodeled” he added."

Bill Shanel is a Sales Rep for the Company and previously an owner of Control’D and manager of the Glen Ellen branch knows that customer care has been enhanced tremendously by creating what he also called the super store. He’s been in the industry since 1986. Bill’s position affords him much more time with customers.

“At Control’D we were strong in hydronics and parts. Now we can offer a broader line including refrigeration, as well as warm air and air conditioning systems” he noted. He added “now we sell Weil McLain and more boiler lines to satisfy more customers” he added. Offerings also include a wide range of remanufactured products, including bearing and pump motors.
